Our Story
The Bunker
Our story starts many years ago, with our Dad, the remarkable Norman MacGeoch. As a young boy in the 1950s, Norman used to play on the pier outside of an old coal shed by the sea on the Isle of Lewis.
Jumping in the blue waters off the pier and poking through the rock pools coloured a large part of Norman’s childhood, so when he returned to the Isle of Lewis many years later, a deep nostalgia led him to transform his favorite childhood spot into a place everyone else could enjoy in the future.
Teaming up with his wonderful wife, our Mum, Tina, who has an impeccable penchant for interior design and a tenacious work ethic, Dad looked forward to making his dream come true.
Cruelly, Dad didn’t make it to see The Bunker through to completion. Cancer took that from him. Mum and a dedicated and hard-working team of local experts made it their mission to continue Dad’s legacy by completing The Bunker in the summer of 2023.
So now, we are so excited to make Dad’s dream a reality by inviting you to come and experience this beautiful, cosy and contemporary holiday home for yourselves and make wonderful memories, just like Dad did.
